Directed and Produced 10 documentary films, from short experimental work to the first ever fulldome nature documentaries produced in Finland for the Finnish Science Centre Heureka's Verne planetarium theatre. Altogether, the films have been screened on hundreds of festivals and various TV channels on all 7 continents, including at Venice International Film Festival, Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, awarded at Guanajuato International Film Festival, Hong Kong International Film Festival, Tampere International Film Festival, Imagine Science Film Festival NY and Abu Dhabi, Dokufest at Kosovo, and others.

Founder of Pohjankonna Oy and Leading Note Pictures Oy, which served as sandbox production companies for launching the director's own projects. Besides producing and directing, roles included developing original ideas from ground-up to finished documentary films. Depending on the project, this has included working as a cinematographer in-studio and on the field, including aerial and underwater cinematography, leading a documentary shoot field team in Uganda, Indonesia and the Kingdom of Tonga and reacting to any and all situations that may arise during production. Contacting and keeping up with different shareholders, directing actors and voice actors, working with screenwriters, scientists, data wranglers and software developers to successfully visualize complex scientific data on screen, on schedule. Responsible for the post-production steps of all 10 films, including planning and rendering 2d and 3d animation and following through with other compositing and color-grading tasks.

Strong focus on building up new skills in self and in others - supporting team members and colleagues by sharing experience, skills and information. Love to see others grow and blossom professionally and to remove obstacles from the way whenever possible. Love deep collaboration in a team setting, working together for a common goal. Naturally looks for ways of solving challenges and loves to muse on alternate ways of getting things done, even on free time.

Deep love for developing projects from ground-up, improving processes and ideating new ways of getting projects done. The years running a small film production company cultivated an appreciation for overseeing projects on a large scale, without forgetting how it feels to put one's boots on the ground and getting the gritty part of the work done. Always learning a new thing - for the first films it was 500 000 photographs of digital timelapse - an uncommon technique back then, and how to turn that into a film. In later projects this energy has been put to becoming a rescue diver and a solo diver capable of conducting solo cinematography underwater and during MA studies at the University, this energy was put to learning to write code and turning complex datasets into interesting visual forms in Python. For the last two years a big focus has been on capturing realistic nature environments via photogrammetry and creating believable and plausible digital ecosystems from selected key species.
