A selection of volumetric renders of X-ray tomography data of biological samples. The custom pathtracer tool for lighting and rendering the data was created by Janne Pulkkinen.
This tool has been used extensively in our documentary films over the years to visualize scientific data, such as the inner structures of insects or the development of embryotic stages of a zebrafish.
